Following his debut album "Summit" with Genuin Classics, released in November 2018, Werner Theurich of Spiegel Online wrote

"Nuron Mukumi combines empathetic, perfect technique with a sure eye for the dramaturgy of piano compositions: a talent that combines rigour and playfulness."

The album has been nominated for the Opus Klassik 2019 and the International Classical Music Awards 2020. The music magazine Pizzicato awarded him the Supersonic Award for his album.

The child of two musicians, Nuron Mukumi was born in 1996 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He began playing the piano at the age of six. As a pupil of the Uspenskij Music School in the class of Prof. Tamara Popovich he won the 1st prize at the „Russian Music“ Piano Competition in California at the age of 7. In the same year he received his first conducting lessons from Vladimir Neymer. At the age of 8, Nuron finally made his conducting debut with the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Piano Concert in D Minor in which he also played the piano part.

In 2010 Nuron Mukumi was accepted into Prof. Lev Natochenny's class and studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main until 2015. In 2014 he completed his schooling in Bad Homburg. From 2015 - 2021 Mukumi studied with Prof. Natochenny at the Kalaidos Hochschule für Musik in Zurich. In spring 2021 he received the Diplôme Supérieur de Concertiste (Superior Diploma of Performance) at the École Normale de Musique de Paris. In addition, the young pianist has been a scholarship holder of the Bad Homburg Schlosskonzerte Foundation since 2017.

Nuron Mukumi has performed in the following concert venues: Mariinsky Theatre St. Petersburg, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Salle Cortot Paris, Konzerthaus Berlin, Frankfurt Radio Symphony Hall, Weilburger Schlosskonzerte and Bad Homburger Schlosskonzerte.

Nuron has played at several international festivals such as the St. Petersburg International Piano Festival, Biarritz Piano Festival, Oxford Piano Festival, Ruhr Piano Festival, Piano Loop Festival in Split and at the Mosel Music Festival in 2020. In August 2021 Nuron will perform for the first time at Schloss Johannisberg at the Rheingau Music Festival as part of the Next Generation and has just planned his second CD with works by Peter I. Tchaikovsky.
